Eternity - what a strange word!
May be it’s true, may be it’s not
Are we immortal? Can we be?
Do vampires exist?
And dragons?
And magic?
What fun it would be if it did!
“Children will play”, Mother scoffs.
“You’re too old for things like that.”
And she pulls me away to the gyro.
I am scared. So what of it?
Am I not still a child? Only a child?
No I am not. I am a young lady
ready to face the world.
Strong, gorgeous, a fighter!
“Fighting?”, the nurse laughs.
“Leave that to the boys!”
May be I don’t want to.
Maybe I want to be
that leading lady
with her magic, and her ways
of gentle hands and firm voice
that would make the most prepared enemy quiver.
But that is a long way off.
First I shall go into that doctor’s room,
and come back out alive!
Oh, lets hope I have eternity!
